The Brief
Nike’s House of Innovation in Paris, the brand’s largest establishment to date, represents the third evolution of its retail concept, following the successful openings in Shanghai and New York. Nestled in a prime location on the iconic Avenue Des Champs-Elysées, the flagship store boasts an expansive 2,400 square meters of floor space spread across four levels. The overarching goal of the House of Innovation is to deliver inspiration and innovation to athletes worldwide.
The Nike team approached us to collaborate on the development of a digital wayfinding system, entrusting us with the task of crafting a solution that would infuse innovation specific to the Paris store. Our challenge was to seamlessly inform customers about the array of store services and guide them to various department locations while maintaining a distinct touch of Parisian exclusivity.
The Project
We implemented a wayfinding system by integrating transparent LCD screens alongside backlit frosted panels displaying the floor numbers. This innovative approach seamlessly blended physical and digital. Through a series of animated screens, we artfully engaged with the environment, skillfully concealing and unveiling the tangible 3D floor numbers positioned discreetly behind the transparent screens.
